Privacy Policy for Tepori

Introduction

Tepori is a baby sleep tracker for iPhone, developed by Mykhailo Kachanovskyi. This policy explains what information the app handles and how you control it.

In short: Tepori has no servers, no accounts, no ads and no analytics. We cannot see your baby’s sleep data. It stays on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. Everything you enter is stored by the app on your device:

Baby profiles: name and date of birth
Sleep records: start and end times, wake-ups, notes and tags
An optional caregiver profile: a display name and colour shown on the records you log
App settings, and short troubleshooting logs shown on the Diagnostics screen in Settings

None of this is sent to us.

How We Use Information

Your information is used only on your device, to run the app’s features: tracking sleep, showing charts and history, widgets, Live Activities, Siri, reports, sharing and caregiver alerts.

We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone.

Data Storage and Security

On your device: by default, all data stays on your iPhone.
iCloud Sync (optional): if you turn it on, your data is stored in your private iCloud database to sync across devices using the same Apple Account. It is protected by Apple and we cannot access it.
Sharing with caregivers: people you invite can see that baby’s profile, sleep records, notes, tags and the caregiver names attached to them. People with Can Edit access can also change them. A baby shared with you stays in its owner’s iCloud and disappears from your devices if sharing stops.
Caregiver alerts: to avoid alerting you about your own changes, each alert includes a random ID for the app installation and an anonymous iCloud user ID that does not reveal your name or email. Alert records are temporary and removed automatically after about a day.

Notifications, Widgets and Siri

Tepori asks to send notifications only if you turn on caregiver alerts. Notifications, widgets and Live Activities can show your baby’s name, sleep status and the caregiver who logged a change, including on your Lock Screen. Siri and Shortcuts requests are processed by Apple. Exports (image, PDF or CSV) are created on your device only when you share them.

Data Deletion

Delete individual sleep records in the app.
Delete a baby and all its records in Settings > Babies > Delete Profile. With iCloud Sync on, this also removes it from iCloud, your other devices and anyone you shared it with.
Stop sharing a baby, or remove a baby shared with you, from its Manage Sharing screen.
Uninstalling the app removes the data stored on that device. Data already synced to iCloud stays there until you delete it in the app.

Children’s Privacy

Tepori is intended for parents and caregivers, not for children to use. It stores information about a baby only as entered by a parent or caregiver, and does not collect data from children.

Third-Party Services

Tepori contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software. It relies only on Apple services:

iCloud for optional sync and sharing
Siri and Shortcuts for voice commands
Apple crash reports: if you share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics that never include your baby’s data

If you email us, your message is handled through Gmail (Google) and used only to reply.

Not Medical Advice

Tepori is a record-keeping tool. It is not a baby monitor or medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your baby’s health and sleep.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect your app data, you can view, export and delete it directly in the app. For any information we do hold, such as a support email, you can ask us to access, correct or delete it. If you are in the UK or EU, you can also contact your local data protection authority, such as the ICO in the UK.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
